Toronto School Teacher Praises Islamic Terrorists

July 13, 2016

Nadia Shoufani, a public school teacher, joined left-wing agitators last weekend in Toronto’s annual Quds Day demonstration. In her speech, Shoufani glorified Palestinian terrorists who had murdered Jews.  Bifurcating Jewish identity and the Jewish people’s right to self-determination, Quds Day serves as a platform for leftist radicals and Islamists to push anti-Semitic politics.

As first reported by CIJ News Editor-in-Chief and retired IDF intelligence officer (Lt. Col.) Jonathan D. Halevi:

[Nadia Shoufani] is a graduate of the American University of Beirut and a former employee at UNRWA, Shoufani is a teacher for Special Education, ESL, Literacy and Science at Dufferin-Peel District School Board. “Ms. Shoufani” is mentioned as a [Student Emergency Response Team/English As A Second Language] teacher at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Mississauga. Nadia Shoufani is also affiliated with the Palestine Solidarity Movement and Actions4Palestine and is a director at the Arab Canadian Cultural Association.

Shoufani’s speech called for support of the Palestinian people’s resistance “in any way possible” and the liberation of “all Palestine”. Making reference to the recent wave of savage stabbings against Israeli Jews, the taxpayer-funded teacher framed Islamic terrorists as do-gooders, whilst decrying Israel’s police officers and soldiers as unmitigated racists.

“Yesterday [July 1, 2016] the Israeli occupation forces shot dead, executed a 27-year-old woman, a pregnant woman, killing her. That means killing two, two people, the woman and her baby. Her cousin Mohammad, 17 years old, was executed the day before.”

Conveniently missing from Shoufani’s overjoyed paean to the Palestinian cause was the fact that the pregnant woman – Sarah Tarairah –  was shot while trying to stab an Israeli police officer. It just so happens that attempts at satisfying genocidal whims against the Jews by means of stabbing police officers tops the list of things pregnant women should not be doing (followed by drunk driving a car into a group of Israeli Jews).

Shoufani’s latter “freedom fighter” was Mohammad Tarairah. This peaceful protester was killed by totally unhinged Israeli forces for the simple crime of breaking in and stabbing to death a 13-year-old American-Israeli girl while she was sleeping.

Moving on, the school teacher voiced her support for the boycott of Israel – which makes perfect sense;  if a Palestinian terrorist can’t even stab a 13-year-old Jewish girl in her sleep without getting shot, what can he do?

“I urge you not to be silent. I urge you to speak up, to resist this occupation and support the steadfastness of Palestinians. Support the resistance in any form that is possible. I urge you to support the BDS, the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions against Israel…”

Shoufani concludes by glorying the aforementioned terrorists as martyrs for the Palestinian nationalist cause.

“Palestine will be liberated with your efforts. Glory to the martyrs. Victory, freedom to the prisoners and liberation for the Palestinians, all Palestinians from the river [Jordan River] to the sea [Mediterranean Sea] Palestine will be free.”
