Under the leadership of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party, Canada will once again be sending money to the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) – a refugee relief subsidiary organization of the UN entirely dedicated to funding Palestinian Arabs.
Canada’s funding of the UNRWA was discontinued in 2010 by former Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative Party due to the UNRWA’s perpetuation of anti-Semitism. The UNRWA facilitates the spreading of anti-Semitic propaganda via many avenues, the most troublesome of which is perhaps its production of educational materials for children inciting hatred of Jews.
Other examples include Nazi-like cartoons shared on social media by its staff and promoting terrorist-supporting flotillas and violence against Israel. UNRWA has also allowed Hamas – officially designated as a terrorist organization by both the U.S. and Canada – to use its facilitiesand has employed its members as staff.
Hillel C. Neuer, the executive director of human rights NGO in Switzerland – UN Watch, urged Canada not to restore funding to UNRWA.
Funding UNRWA means Canadian taxpayers will literally be subsidizing the incitement of terrorism targeting Jews in and around Israel.
