On Monday, the Associated Press reported that Palestinian Arab activists built a monument to the late Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein.

As reported by AP, the effigy to the Iraqi oppressor was built by the Arab Liberation Front (ALF) — a member of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). After its formation in 1969, the ALF was headed by Saddam Hussein.

Saddam was a long-time supporter of the Palestinian nationalist movement as well as their steadfast efforts to terrorize the Jewish state of Israel. He personally donated to and thanked families and relatives of suicide bombers or any Palestinian terrorist killed attempting to murder Jews.

In a span of just two years, the Iraqi government oversaw the transfer of more than $10 million to the families of dead terrorists.

To further bolster his resume as a truly tenured anti-Israel figurehead, Saddam fired over 40 missiles directly at Israel during the First Gulf War.

The statue to this mass-murdering authoritarian was built in the West Bank city of Qalqilya.

Among those in attendance at the red-ribbon cutting ceremony (though more than likely the ribbon was actually an American flag) was Rafea Rawajbeh — a member of the ruling Fatah movement.

As Jack Heretik wrote in the Washington Free Beacon, the Fata member praised Saddam, going on to say, “Saddam was an emblem of heroism, honor, originality, and defiance.”

Saddam Hussein was charged with genocide, responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands. Erecting a shrine to honor his legacy is yet another brilliant move from Palestinian Arab leaders, demonstrating how giving them their own state is really the only way to achieve peace in the Middle East.
